What makes a hero a hero? How do we determine good and evil in a gray-scaled world? OR what does the rise of superheroes comment on American society? Are we reliant on them?

For this essay, choose ONE essay prompt from the following three opinions:

Opinion 1: How has the media impacted society’s culture and norms? Who gets included or who gets left out? OR how does the media impact the representation of a group of people? Is there a limit to proper representation? Does proper representation include banning old forms of media (think of Disney’s ban on Dumbo, Peter Pan, and The Lady and the Tramp on Disney + before reposting them with a “Content Warning” message?

Opinion 2: Are comic-book movies ruining/improving film? Are they ruining/improving society? Why or why not. OR Do we need more female superheroes?

Opinion 3: What makes a hero a hero? How do we determine good and evil in a gray-scaled world? OR what does the rise of superheroes comment on American society? Are we reliant on them?
